Bard Optical was founded 70 years ago in Peoria, Illinois by Dr. A. Arthur Bard. In 1981 Diana J. Hall purchased Bard and the company grew from a single office to a noted, woman-owned, national leader in professional eyecare and quality eyewear. Bard Optical has now expanded to 18 locations in Central and Southern Illinois.

Very quick friendly service. Straightened my glasses and took care of my problem. Another Bard had messed them up so i will be coming to this location from now on.

Ok,first off....I am a grouchy old man (64)!....I needed glasses because mine were stolen 8 yes ago. I know.....I know! Well, I had gotten those at Bards in the metro center and they served me...

BUYER BEWARE!   Bard Optical / J.A.K. Enterprises, Inc. made glasses for me that were so defective as a result of poor workmanship that they caused me two years of double vision and migraine headaches.  I had numerous tests and doctor visits including a MRI of my brain to make sure there was not a tumor that was causing my double vision.  Finally my Ophthalmologist tested my glasses and found...

Very deceptive. Lied about an exam deal to get us in the door then charged triple their quote. No managers would not return calls. Many hours of time wasted. Even corporate would not return calls.
