This snug bistro became a Village mainstay thanks to its appealing French décor, pleasant bar scene, and reasonably priced French-Moroccan fare. While nothing about Bar Six is terribly special, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Order a glass of wine from the list scrawled on the arched mirrors and dig into a good burger or Moroccan spiced shrimp sautéed with vegetable couscous....

Favorite neighborhood hang comes highly recommended, credit due to atmosphere of authentic Parisian bistro. Settle into cozy red banquettes, browse extensive wine list. Standard French fare; steak frites, moules, charcuterie plates complimented by North African infusions; Moroccan chicken pie, vegetable couscous. Expect increasing volume levels as the night progresses.

Our Valentine's Day was made extra special by the romantic French bistro feel and the excellent Tagine and Bisteeya. And the crab cakes were out of this world!

The server was very so-so. Very inattentive to my table. The biscuit was terrible, so bad that I could not finish the bite, removed from my mouth to a napkin, had to send it back to kitchen.

Group of seven for dinner. All enjoyed food from friendly accommodating wait staff. A must-order -- the largest profiteroles, choose your flavor of ice cream (2 per order, great to share).

This longtime French Villager dishes out "serviceable" "bistro-ish" fare with a "hint of Moroccan influence" (and a "consistently good burger") in "loud" digs done up with red banquettes and copper-topped cafe tables; if the cooking's "somewhat inconsistent", the scene's as "cool" as when it opened in 1994.

This hip Village bar serves brunch, lunch, dinner and late-night food. The swanky bar and dining room are always busy, filled with attractive, young downtowners. The food at Bar Six is a fusion of Moroccan and French styles with such dishes as Savory Moroccan Chicken Pie and the more standard Steak Frites.
