Michael, Maybe i should be more clear. My landlord deposited the rent check early to his bank, it got to b of a before the first so it bounced. B of A tried to cover that check with my savings, i had no money in savings, so they charged me to try to get that money out of savings. The next day it went back thru, my landlord didn't send it back thru B of A did. So each time B of A sent it back...

Landlord is at fault

You state in your second post that your landlord submitted the check EARLY. You should be asking him or her for your bounced check and associated fees.
While I'll agree it's frustrating for BOFA to keep re-submitting the check for payment, if you're 'close buddy,' the landlord, has submitted the check when he or she was supposed to, ALL this would have been avoided.

NSF Charges

Whenever you present a check to a merchant it is that merchants right to go ahead and try to collect there money. If your check bounces it goes to the merchant and then its up to the merchant if they want to keep submitting that check to the bank until they get paid. That was your responsibility to make sure you have funds for that check....
