Great friendly, homey place to get a decent meal. They open early, which is wonderful for people who have to get up and out early in the morning.

A truly old-fashioned diner. We got there too early for their lunch, which we'd have preferred to try. But, they're breakfast was a good basic one. We hear their steaks and seafood are good, so we'll try them for later meals some other time.

The food was tasty and hot when served. Much better than the offering at the local hotels. Only down side was coffee was a little weak.

Ordered the deluxe burger & fries. WOW! That burger was something I would make at home.
I eat here at least once every time I am in the area (at least six times a year). Have yet to be disappointed in their food ~ breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Sometimes the wait staff is a bit slow, and paying the bill...

Hubby & I stopped in on Sat before boarding the Aransas Queen Casino Boat. When we spotted this little place ,we thought it was just a bakery, but it is like an old fashion dIner. Special of the day was liver & onions or menu selection available. Homemade Hambugers as well as their Grill Cheese sandwiches are delicious. Every plate...
