This review is for the pies. I thought the barbecue was average but the pies alone are worth the stop. I bought a bag to bring to my family and we are all pie fans. I bought the pecan, and the sugar free peach and apple. Best fried pies I've ever had! I make the run between Baton Rouge, Shreveport, and Dallas a couple of times a year and this is now a must-stop along the route.

The smell alone is a dream... the food is icing on the cake

Walk in & you are hooked from the glorious odors wafting about. But, that is only temptation. Sink your teeth into some of the most tender, flavor filled barbeque you've enjoyed in awhile. Supurb. But, as good as it is, Do NOT leave without your favorite flavor of fried pie just like grandma used to make. Yummy to your tummy.

BBQ AND Fried Pies

We consider Baker's Ribs and Fried Pies our reward for getting through Dallas/Ft. Worth. It is right by the highway, and there is a billboard to remind you where to exit. This is our third visit; I had the turkey - enough turkey to feed a village for a week, or so it seemed. It was delicious. We finished off...

Not the Texas BBQ I remember

Was surprised when walked in was cafeteria style. Ate on styrofoam plates with plastic utensils which is ok for picnic, but for $25 tab for two ( and that was drinking water!) I expected more. Sides were good & homemade but lukewarm, sausage was good, sliced brisket was dry & ribs weren't very meaty. Was very disappointing for Texas BBQ....

Not Bad

Maybe not the best BBQ, but defiantly good eating. I’ve eaten here several times and the brisket can taste a bit too smoky from time to time, not bad but occasionally you’ll get some beef with a little too much smoke. On the other hand, my wife thinks the turkey BBQ is absolutely some of the best she's ever had....
