Replacement for the shuttered Kappa Sake House, serving up potato salad and deviled eggs and other backyard barbecue type things.
Park Slope mom and pop unveil a backyard for the neighborhood. Roomy garden just right for chilaxing over fresh bites. Concise menu covers sammies, salads, eggs at weekend brunch. Bleu cheese and fig flatbread pizza not to be missed. Bar up front with smart wine list, beer on tap. Dual TVs help keep pretense low.
There was a dishwasher breakdown in the kitchen delayed dinner the day we came for an early reservation. Backyard treated us very well while we waiting. Marlissa, our server, was attentive and seated us with drinks and snacks. The wait became a pleasant drinks and conversation time rather than a bother.
Great atmosphere. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Everyone loved their meals. There was a group at the bar (3 guys) who were very noisy and we had to shout to each other in order to hear what we were saying, however, they left halfway through the meal. I would not recommend this restaurant for a "quite meal". We enjoyed it, however,

Highly recommend the #weallstars brunch menu item. The wait staff is rockstar and personable. Will definitely come back.
It was a great place, the food was delicious, but they did forget to bring out an item that we had ordered. They didn't charge us for it so it wasn't a big deal, I would still go back.
