After reading great reviews we decided to meet friends for lunch at the Back Door Cafe. While the service was excellent, the meal was not up to par. The chicken-fried steak tasted like it had come from a pre-fab supplier in the frozen state and heated, as did the chicken fried chicken. The rice and green beans were nothing special....

Seriously delicious pork chop

Great atmosphere and service, but the pork chop was amazing! Melted blue cheese and bacon pieces on top, yummy! I would definitely recommend trying it out.

This is a small unassuming cafe, but the ordinary-ness stops @ the door. Known for the coconut pie, the chef is world-trained and prepared some of the best food I had ever had. A cozy cafe with really good food that changes on the menu with what the chef finds available. Have a seat, order, and walk through the connecting door to an amazing antiques store to find a treasure while you wait!! BYOB or choose from the drink list. Nice location to watch the parade should you be in town for that...
