The Avenir has changed little from last summer as far as the first floor guest rooms are concerned, it is very tired, however it is in the midst of a major renovation prior to it's sale to the Comfort Inn name. This is a much needed opportunity for this location and when it is completed we will return and visit...

We stayed three nights while attending the Auburn/Cord/Duesenberg weekend in Auburn. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly. Peeling ceiling a bit disconcerting

Old motel with unkempt exterior appearance. Room was clean, bed was ok but "Popcorn" ceiling finish was pealing and A/C didn't work on "Cool" setting...fan only. Breakfast was toaster items and cold cereal. Ok for one night cheap room.
