I didn't know what to expect when I first visited Avalon. However, I was not impressed by anything I saw. It is literally a mini version of Atlantic Station in the burbs. It's location seems to draw a lot of families with young screaming children and bratty teens...something that Atlantic Station definitely does not have. I would much rather drive to the city than visit Avalon again.

Here are the good things first.Brand new so it feels good. Great food at all restaurants and great service at couple that I have tried. I am sure others will rock too. Great stores to check out. Whole foods looks and feels great. I love Whole foods there!!! Avalon is close by. Great to walk around on a good day …

A super new and well talked about shopping center - that has finally opened up. I didn't know they had an ice skating rink here. There were also fire pits too for after that ice skating run, yogurt treat, or shopping rest. A Whole Foods and movie theater (Regal I think) can be found here. There are of course the …

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T VALET PARK AT AVALON. If you like your car returned without mud and sand sloshed all over it, then don't trust the valets at Avalon. Loved wining and dining at CRU, but afterwards the carelessness of the valets really spoiled it. Took us hours to clean all the mess off the …

Nice day. Took a short walk around the shops. Now that the newness is over it is getting nicer. Was not that crowded and just pleasant. Next week I will go shopping at j Jill and anthropology. Didn't look to see if anticos is open yet
