Overtorqued adjuster bolt on Alternator

Overtorqued adjuster bolt on Alternator & it broke. Left pivot bolt nut loose & it came off. Alternator belt became ""glazed"" due to slippage. Wound up spending $670 when the battery went dead as alternator not working from all this. Had to replace alternator + belt + adjuster bolt. Owner wouldn't compensate me for shoddy work. This was my wife's car.
They also misdiagnosed my car saying the instrument cluster was bad, when it was actually the speedomoter cable broken. Got a 2nd opinion before that work was done & saved myself near $500.
