The Appeal
This is the granddaddy of amusement parks, and features the world-famous Cyclone. Built in 1927, the notorious wooden roller coaster has 2,640 feet of track and an 80-foot...
Astroland is now called luna park. it is right next to the orginal nathans hot dog. credits/tickets are quite expensive $100.00 gets you 100 credit then you get an extra 125 credits. rides that i saw average between 3 and 7(that i saw) it cost 6 dollars to ride the cyclone. the wonder wheel was cool.
There are several parks here and so it is quite confusing as tickets for rides purchased on one place will not work for a ride at another. Crowded on the weekends. Not my favorite place.
they have good rides good food just a good place to bring your family in the summer they also have games too .. alot of rides for young kids to enjoy themselves
my fav amusement park since i was a little kid love this place soo much fun even as an adult i can still come here and have fun ...
The only thing this place really has going for it is its history and location. Astroland is a modest collection of carnival rides and the only hold over from the park's zenith, the Cyclone.
The Cyclone is still a great ride, probably made even scarier by the fact that it feels like the coaster could shake itself apart at at any moment.
Research the history of Coney Island and Coney Islands Astroland Amusement Park. It is a rich part of American history that remains unforgettable.
