Behind the Wheel for Adults and Teenagers
This was the most ridiculous experience I have ever dealt with. First - I call and speak to the owner and we agree upon what package I was interested in for my BF to take some driving lessons before getting his license. He says someone will contact me to schedule. So next day - someone TEXT me some date and times. I chose when the driver should come and gave my address again. The driver shows up a couple days later on time and my BF does his first lesson.
We bought a package deal so it was $350 for a few sessions. My BF gave the driver a check and the driver (different from the owner I talked to who said the check would be okay) said he didn't want a check. Asked if we could give him cash the next time and he was going to hold onto the check.
I text the owner (b/c that seems to be the only way to get in touch with him) and said I was not going to go to the bank and get cash out. Why couldn't they just cash the check? The owner then proceeds to tell me we never gave him a check.... The owner calls me and STILL proceeds to tell me "my nephew" didn't come out and bring him the check after he dropped him off. I tell him - the guy wasn't my nephew and we had a different driver and we are not who he thinks we are. Seriously FIFTEEN MINUTES of arguing of who I am and he finally realizes that he is thinking of the wrong person. He then says I should work it out with the driver... um - you are the owner of the company. You deal with it.
The owner then says I shouldn't worry and he will handle it.
The next morning the driver shows up at our door and hands us the check and says he was FIRED.
So I text (called but got no answer so had to text) and the owner tells me that we don't have to pay the normal $80 for the one session unless we really wanted to pay that driver. The driver then texts us a week later asking for his money.... We told him politely that he needs to work it out with his employer. The owner has now promised that he will get back to us in a week about when to schedule another session.
So we live in an area with NO driving schools and none come out to us but this one place. So we wait and a month goes by and I text the guy asking him his availability again. The guy forgot who I was of course and I had to again go through the whole thing to which then he remembered and told me we owed him $80.
This place is so unbelievably unprofessional and ridiculous I wish I could give it negative stars. This man should not be running a business.
Hard to find any driving school who uses a reliable car which parents could trust sending there 16 years old.
ASTA Driving School had a relatively new car which made us very comfortable and we were not overcharged at all.
I would recommend people to go to ASTA Driving for Good service.
