I bought a table from Art Van a couple years ago. My sister and a couple of her friends were playing cards on this kitchen table. It looked nice, pedestal base heavy appeared to be solid oak. Someone leaned across the table and it cracked clear down to the floor! There was glue, screws and things I didnt feel went with a quality product. I called the store and they told me no refunds. This was a $900.00 table the matching chairs extra. I was angry with the no refund so they said we can exchange it for another table. I figured out I would get the most inexpensive item in that same category that was offered. I found a $99.00 table chairs extra. They tried so hard to talk me out of it but I was determined to get even with them for their lousy product and attitude. They gave me the difference in cash. The next day they called to say they over paid me and I owed them $200.00 I told them tough. If you cant absorb the loss for all my trouble not to mention you employ people who cant count then it appears to be your problem. They got real nasty and said well, what are you going to do?? I said I will give you the answer so I did the Bronx cheer. They called me from time to time but I never paid it back and I never ever will!!
