fondly remembered, always understated elegance and superior service and almost always food to match , expensive but well worth it. For about ten years we visited three to four times a year traveling one and one half hours each way. Have never found anything to equal it on the northeast coast

Way too stuffy! Expensive. Ordinary things, still very expensive. Service was ok. I expected greatness, and got ordinary. Glad I went; I was always curious.

We had the best seat in the house, and we had great service. The food was wonderful, but our waiter did a strange thing... after we had cocktails and ordered our dinners, I asked him to bring us what he thought would go well with what we ordered.
