I am a flute player and years ago rented my first student flute from this store. Not only was the flute in horrible condition (it has to be fixed several times over), but the service was also very rude and unfriendly.
I did have some positive experiences with the store, however. Their selection of sheet music as excellent as well as their selection of extras ( extra tools used to enhance playing, such as types of cleaning cloths or metronomes). I would not at all suggest buying or renting an instrument from here, but if you're looking for a good place for the small stuff, go to Ardis.
