After my last review, we did receive our letter from the manager a day later for our poor service the previous week. We gave them another try one evening and enjoyed this visit much more. The service was better, and the waitress was quick to apologize for taking a while to get to our table. The place was not too...

This was a good quick feed in a nice bar atmosphere with good choice of food and friendly and attentive staff. The Applebee's formula works well.

Above average fare for a chain restaurant off a freeway

Standard Applebee's fare - easy access from 2 hotels and right off the freeway. We went on a busy Saturday night, got good, fast service, a variety of food choices, a few key specials to save money. Everything was cooked right; served hot. Waitress came back to check on us a few times to refill drinks, ensure all was fine.

First visit to an Applebee's - pleasantly surprised

We ate here because we were staying at the Comfort inn just along the road & didn't want to drive. It was our first visit to an Applebee's.
Firstly we were seated & attended to very quickly by 2 lovely friendly servers.
Secondly they had a good selection of beers including ones that we like Samuel Adams.

Since there aren't many food choice options in Salem, we settled on Applebee's, since we were staying at the Super 8 right behind the place. It's an Applebees, so you know what to expect, as far as your choices. The service was good and the food was fine.
