In Short
A low-key, friendly environment attracts plenty of families to this reliable chain. Kids in the big booths--often clutching free balloons and crayons--usually outnumber adults...
Came for lunch and ordered lunch special. Food was okay but service was very slow.
Server said there was no manager on duty and that the kitchen was very backed up,
Restaurant not very crowded so likely management problems.
We ordered take out, service was great. Food not so. My husbands burger was so over cooked it was like shoe leather, his bun was burnt, one piece of onion. The fries were so rubbery, you could tell they were reheated.
Good selection of foods. Nice décor, only concern is very noisy in there. Always a wait, so come prepared to sit for awhile.
Thankfully, Applebee's stays open late on weekdays. Within our week's vacation, we went to this Applebee's, as well as the one in Latham. Both times, our food was good, as was our service. There's always plenty to choose from on the menu, and it's nice to not have to worry about trial and error when dealing with a chain restaurant.
Only my second time at an Applebee's. The first time, at a different location, was very nice. Blackened shrimp & broccoli cavatappi, berry sangria, cafe Nelson, all just ok. Brownie dessert was good. Service was prompt and friendly. Would suggest making the trip to a Chili's for similar chain restaurant food.
