Yeah, in March I was axed too. After 5 postal letters, and two internet letters. (wasn't sent to an email address from me but on the web site). I still do not have an explanation. I received one letter, and during some phone calls. They both stated Violation of Terms of Usage or something to that effect. That was it. On the phone they told me to write to the Virginia address.

After cancelling my credit card I cancelled my AOL account in writing by mail. Several months later I received a bill from them for around 48.00. I called the number on this bill and the woman told me I didn't cancel the right way, that I could not do it in writing. I said cancel it now then, and she said it is suspended for non payment and we are sending it to collections. A week later...
A company employee of AOL, commonly called tech support, caused my computer to crash.
The repair bills amount to about $400.00 plus.
I called AOL about this and one manager hung up on me. Another said I was right that their tech support does that all the time.
AOL agreed to give me 1 month free service. That was before I found out what it would cost to repair my laptop.
I called them back...
