This park draws families who like to hike, bike, swim, camp, and play on the beach to its 1,700 protected acres of bird sanctuary and 4 miles of secluded beachfront.
We camped at Anastasia for several nights on our way home from the Keys. The check in staff were all helpful and friendly. Our site was large and private with both electric and water hook up. Shower and restroom facilities were clean. Several pieces of advice for other travelers: We have Sprint cell phones and could not get a signal...
For your RV the sites a good sized with privacy between the sites. A short drive to the beach in the park which is spectacular with the historic lighthouse in sight. Would recommend if your not camping and just want to spend a great day at the beach.
The key feature of the park is its beach - over 4 miles long and, when we were there, pristine and without large numbers of people. Easily accessible, low cost, and pristine. Went kayaking in the morning, then walking on the beach. This place is a gem! Highly recommended for couples, families, or small groups.
I have never been disappointed by Florida State Parks, and Anastasia is no exception. The campsites are small but feel secluded and welcoming. The staff is always exceptionally friendly and take obvious pride in the park.
