Way before fusion was a thing, Amy's was doing it the old fashioned way -- fusing chocolate ice cream with crushed up Junior Mints, strawberry with gummy bears, vanilla with bourbon. Here in Austin, it's still the penultimate place to eat a shameless, heaping scoop of refined sugar and food coloring.

Kids and parents agree that theres nothing better than a delicious ice cream treat on a hot summer day. Established in 1984, Amys Ice...

Score one for independent business. Buy a scoop at this paradigm of homegrown chains. Have it the Ben & Jerry’s way. With abundant Butterfingers and M&M's and whatnot crushed in. The best ice cream I've ever had

I'm not a big ice cream person, but it was hot and i was looking for a cold treat and I'm glad that I did. I got the salty dog - chocolate ice cream with pieces of heath bar, pecans and a caramel sauce on top. amazing!

Cute Austin spot with yummy ice cream flavors. Had the mexican vainilla and sweet cream - both were very delicious. Would definitely go there again. Loved it!

I only had a bite of the strawberry...but it was divine

If they have Mexican Vanilla or Mexican Chocolate on the day you are there...get them! You taste buds will thank you. You cannot go wrong, no matter what you order. HINT: If you want a buzz that will last for hours (and is immediate), try their shake made with cold brew coffee and Mexican Chocolate...wow!

Real ice cream in a great setting

You can taste it in the first spoonful - that silky texture that tells you you're eating full fat ice cream! Interesting flavors all around, but since we were in TX, I had to go with dark chocolate and pecans. It was a nice day to sit and people watch too. You're just down and across from the Austin Motel...
