I have been a customer of American Cleaners in Maryland Heights for several years. I have always felt they were a little expensive, however, over the past year or so, I have had three seperate bad experiences. First, I took in one pair of pants to be cleaned with the same day service. When I arrived after 5:00 (they were to be ready at 4:00) they were not able to locate my slacks! I was paniced...

Even with their regularly printed coupons, American Cleaners is on the high end for what you get. Their location is convenient, large and bright and the coupons give you the perception of a good deal but you are better off trying one of the other dry cleaners located on Telegraph. They do have great shirt service at fair prices so if that' s your big need, they are easy to get to!

I wouldn't recommend these cleaners because they are SO expensive. I took some curtains to these people and they wanted $37.00 just to clean them, the place down the street charged me $12.50.
