This is a sister winery to the celebrated Pepper Bridge Winery, and although Amavi doesn't produce very many varietals, it makes complex and delicious wines that are mostly in the $20 to $25 range. The tasting room, incorporating an 1890s log cabin, is next door to Canoe Ridge Vineyard.

Best wine in Washington State. Don't let the looks outside deceive you. These guys are producing premium red wines that make you realize what a great wine should taste like.

Absolutely delightful. The wine is unbelievable while the service is pleasant, warm, and inviting. Even when a large party rolled in halfway through our tasting, the staff made us feel well taken...

Amavi wines are good, reliable offerings, but not outstanding -- although one might well find a particular varietal or vintage to be excellent. The tasting room, though, is outstanding. The view out across the valley is perhaps the best of all the Walla Walla wineries. A large deck allows one to really take in the view while tasting the wines....
