At least three restaurants preceded this one, in this same space, but Amalfi seems to be a survivor. Its bank of windows looks out over Route 1A to the beach and ocean. On yet another menu that encourages a meal of appetizers, the carpaccio of beef is sliced as thin as butterfly wings and the calamari frito are tossed with a savory mix of sun-dried tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and spicy peppers....

Overpriced tasteless seafood was not worth the very long wait

On a Tuesday night, the dining room was 3/4 empty, but our party of 6 was seated right next to another party of 6. Neither group was very loud, but the 2 tables were so close that the general noise level...
