One of the best burgers I've had in the East Bay, $14 for burger, fries, and drink is a little much, but it is a big burger (1/3 lb) and I got the bacon cheeseburger so that might be why it was a little more. Definitely recommended.

The young guy who helps run the place is just about as nice as they come. Must be a part owner or something. Seems like he had a vested interest in the place. Feels like the old days when people owned businesses instead of corporations.

One day I tasted Al's chicken sandwich & it was love at first bite.Many years passed since than & numerous food items shared between us.Every time it was like a first time.Love the burgers, love the fries, love the big dog, love the chili, and how can I forget about mushrooms & shakes.Whenever I feel like being a little bad - Al is being very good to me.

i have been going to big al's for years and i will never go again till they bring back the goodfries .they are buying some kind of bad frozen fries, please don't change to bad fries ,we customer know the difference. bring back the old old fries,that tasted like fresh home made fries,
