I prefer to stay in the aloft whenever I can, not only because I'm an SPG member but becuase I know what I'm going to get. I like the hip feel, the lack of formal ambience, the free coffee (for SPG members) and free Wifi.
I would stay here again next time I'm in Phoenix.

Have been staying at the Aloft in Tempe for 5 years now whenever I head out to Arizona for spring training. Hotel is excellent! Location is perfect, close to the airport and not too far from any of the stadiums. Will continue staying here every visit and would recommend to anyone going to Arizona. Great hotel, great value!

This was my first experience with Aloft, although I am a regular with Starwood brands. I was impressed with the room. Spacious, great decor and clean. Terrific hookups for video. Great vanity lighting and plenty of place to put stuff, although the toilet/shower area was pretty dark and the pocket door didn't provide the kind of privacy one generally wants....

Tempe Aloft - booked two separate consecutive nights on TripAdvisor (because it showed "not available" when I tried booking two nights). Was much more expensive, over $340/night, than any other Aloft I've stayed it - almost twice as much. I assume it was reflection of locate as most hotels in area were expensive during Major League Baseball's Spring Training.
