Bikers, working professionals, barflies, and nearby Rhodes College students all feel at home at this laid-back bar. You won't find many tourists here, but if you want to hang with the locals, play a little shuffleboard, and groove to the jukebox, stop in for a cheeseburger and an ice-cold beer.

Their "Greek Burger" is The Holy Grail of burgers. Period. It was absolute heaven to my taste buds. Forget Huey's. Rocky makes THE BEST BURGER in Memphis @ Alex's Tavern.

Sneaky chef. Burgers,wings and ribs....many places serve these items, many places claim to be the best. For some reason these staples are very common and appear on many menus in Memphis. How can so many places get it so wrong and Alex's get all three so right. Pure magic is being made in this tiny,unassuming kitchen.

Greek Burger!. Nothing fancy here, plastic cups and foam plates. I recommend the Greek Burger. A good place to grab a beer and hang out. Bring cash because they don't take credit cards or debit cards.
