Aladdins has a great selection of healthy food with a Greek/Middle Eastern focus. They also have good desserts, like baklavah. The prices are good and parking is a cinch with the structure behind the building. Although it's in collegetown, its not student-only.
I love this place but whenever I go there end up with a large bill between the appetizers, meal, coffee and desert it's not cheap considering it's a college town restaurant. The food is really great though. They mix their salad in a large garbage bag, that was the only part that kind of bothered me eating there, but I still always go back. Unfortunately, it has gone downhill to the extent that we've almost given up on the place totally after several bad meals on multiple occasions. Wow!! I was blown away by this restaurant. Hidden in college town, this restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside or the decor.
The food was so good! I'd recommend the steak tips and rotini. And the lentil soup was great.
If you've never been to Aladdin's Natural Eatery in Ithaca, you have to try it. It's hard to imagine going to someplace other than Moosewood for vegetarian food when you visit Ithaca, but we go to Aladdin's at least once a trip, and it is always worth going. ESPECIALLY if you live nearby and can take leftovers home!
