Our apologies to Mr. Walter M. We did not close, we simply moved and took a little longer to open than we anticipated. We do use other motors. If you are referring to ""Somfy"" they work as well. We cannot help if we do not have your full information. Please give us a call again and we would love to resolve this matter. Again, please accept our apologies.
Abbott Awnings
Out of business and they deserve it. Had to leave 6 messages before they would return my call. When they finally came out I got a big surprise! Turns out my warranty was pro-rated and they charged me 475 to replace a motor that was only 2 1/2 years old. 2 years later the same motor went bad again and they're not in business. I called another awning company who removed the Chinese awning motor from Abbott and replaced it with a Somfy motor with a full 5 year warranty, for only $50.00 more than what Abbott charged me under their ""warranty"". Any company who does business this way cannot...

i called another company ( awnings in motion) they did get my awning fixed,they use the same parts that abbott did for a small cost.
