8407 Kitchen Bar Restaurant Review

Despite its rather hidden side-street location, this Silver Spring restaurant has a lot going for it: a solid contemporary American menu crafted with farm-fresh ingredients and a lively upstairs dining room. This adds up to a pleasing experience, especially for those patrons who look for some Southern touches in their meals. Take, for example, the overstuffed oyster po’ boy, one of those New...

"Silver Spring has sprung" onto the food scene via this "innovative" New American "destination" ("shockingly hip" for the area) with an "industrial" dining room full of "exposed beams and rafters", and a similarly neo-rustic bar/lounge downstairs serving the likes of "creative" charcuterie and martinis with a "kick"; if some find it "a little pricey for a regular night", it's still a "go-to...

Started with drinks at the very friendly bar staffed with seriously creative and dedicated bartenders. Lively conversations going on between other patrons. Moved upstairs to the comfortable dining room. Service remained excellent. My scallops were exceptional. Overall, great experience in an area not known for its dining offerings.

We like the Kitchen Bar and go there for special occasions. We had an early reservation because the normal times were booked for Valentines Day. The wait person was inexperienced but friendly and tried her best. We were rushed and had just gotten started on our appetizer when they brought our entrees. Our best experiences here have been sitting at the bar for a more casual dinner or appetizers....

Valentine's Day dinner date. Location, ambience, and service very good. Dinner choices were a set menu and price, so the preparation and freshness of food did not meet expectation. Overall, a nice evening with my date

We've been eating here since the restaurant first opened and over the past year it's unfortunately gone down hill. Too many mediocre food choices on the menus instead of focusing on a few superior entree choices.

I went with my two children (13 & 10 yrs old) to meet my parents and close friend for Valentine's Day brunch. The food was good and extremely filling. I thought the flourless chocolate cake was delightful but too rich (it's supposed to be...so enjoy chocolate lovers) but collectively we agree that the crab cakes, grits, shrimp, steak, and grilled chicken sandwich were delicious. I would...

8407 Kitchen Bar, located in downtown Silver Springs is a neighborhood favorite. This place is associated with a peaceful dining experience. The approachable staff is much appreciated too. Some of the items you may want to try here are kielbasa, lamb, pressed pork sandwiches, divine pork and veal dish, split pea soup and much more. The Sunday brunches are much enjoyed. Mondays are a blessing...
