Came for a jazz band thing on Saturday night. The band was amazing. Loved their heart and soul. They were hilarious too! Had a great time with my friends singing our little hearts out. Doesn't matter if you're a visitor or live in New York, you have to make your way out here for the live jazz!!

Live jazz is featured on weeknights and blues on the weekend at the 55 Bar on Christopher Street. This bar was started during the prohibition, and the atmosphere today is reminiscent of that era.
Friday and Saturday nights bring blues at 6pm and 10pm. Two sets are played and a cover is standard, but otherwise it's low to none. Sets are performed at 7pm and 10pm (Sun - 9:30pm) other nights.
Happy hour stretches from the opening of the doors until the music starts.
