Help us make it rightWharf 51 is a club for those who are looking for high energy dancing with the sort of polished elegant atmosphere one might find in a place like New York. Candlelit glass tables, an enticing arrangement of intimate seating areas with beautiful custom furniture allows you to relax in comfort and style. With 20 ft ceilings, the club has an open feel while still maintaining three separate and...
The corn chowder was ordinary, at best. The salad was fair. A crab and cheddar BLT was terrible. It was expensive for what it was. And the service was unbelievably SLOW! I don't like to feel rushed, enjoy a relaxed pace at a restaurant. But this was ridiculous. I actually thought they had forgotten our order. And it wasn't particularly...

Good location, but so-so food, didn't seem to be making much of an effort. For instance, they forgot the cole slaw that came with the dinner, I asked, they brought mine, I asked again, then they brought my husband's. The waiter kept blaming...
So... It is Saturday night in Portland and we're a young couple with a baby. We just got our little one fed and down for a nap, giving us a two hour window to eat! We kill a half hour strolling through the city looking for a restaurant, and of course since it is a beautiful August evening, everything has...
Dinner and drinks were just okay. Mussel appetizer was good, but the crab cakes were tasteless. My son enjoyed the lobster mac and cheese, which had 3 lobster claws on top. Pan seared scallops were good, but nothing to rave about. Disappointing that in Portland there wasn't any draft beers. The best part was the live musician playing on the...
Friends got lobster rolls that had no presentation at all. Just the roll and the meat. advertised as Portland's largest must mean the one that cost about $40. I had the crab, cheddar, bacon sandwich. The bacon was the only flavor it had. Absolutely no flavor. Their version of fries were soft and limp. No seasoning. Will not go back.
The atmosphere at 51 Wharf is sophisticated, mellow, and inviting. The cuisine incorporates a range of flavors and cooking techniques. Once 10:00pm comes around, 51 Wharf becomes a club featuring international dance, hip hop, acid jazz, and trance music. Tuesday through Saturday nights there is a live DJ.
