Great fried chicken

If you go to the 5 spot for dinner, get their Honey Stung Fried Chicken. Get there early as they sometime run out

The 5 Spot Restaurant Review

The 5 Spot is a neighborhood restaurant that's earned a city-wide reputation for its menu (and décor) that rotates each quarter to feature a different region of America. Dishes change, but the big portions, and mild, likable flavors, remain the same. Previous menu themes have included Festival Baja, Trucking into Texas, Big Food in Little Italy, and American Melting Pot Meals. They have...

"An adventure every time", this "funky" Queen Anne American keeps things "interesting" with ever-changing "witty" themed menus and decor (Portlandia and Florida Gulf Rim were hits) plus other "solid", "homey" fare served from breakfast till late; "reasonable" prices and a "perky" staff lead to a "lively" scene with frequent lines "around the block", especially for weekend brunch.

The 5 Spot is a charming neighborhood restaurant with an upbeat ambience and a quarterly-changing menu of regional comfort food. An open kitchen, comfortable wooden booths, and the classic linoleum floor make The 5 Spot feel like a big,…

Every 3 months or so, this restaurant, one of Seattle's favorite diners, changes its menu to reflect a different regional U.S. cuisine. You might find spicy Southwestern food featured, or Cuban-influenced Miami-style meals, but you can bet that whatever's on the menu will be filling and fun. The atmosphere here is pure kitsch -- whenever the theme is Florida, the place is adorned with palm...

The service was OK. We walked in and nobody addressed is until a couple minutes later which is already a strike for me since it wasn't even that busy. Also the prices are outrageous! And the food is very bland to be compared to New Orleans cooking. If you have never had seasoned and good food then sure go there but it's definitely not worth what they charge.

Solid place. Busy for a reason. No frills breakfast. Fun staff. Comfortable atmosphere. Never been disappointed there. Val verde my favorite. I'll be back!

Found via Trip Advisor. Great atmosphere and Amazing food. If ham and cheese waffles aren't your thing, ask for the bacon and cheese! Breakfast items good enough for dinner desserts!

I love the 5 Spot and their themed city menus. But my favorite item on the menu - when it isn't sold out - is their Cinnamon Swirl French Toast (vanilla batter dipped and griddled, served with Nat's caramel). I'm not sure, but I don't believe that this is a low-fat option. So if you're on a diet, get ready to break it. I also had a version of this called the "Café Mocha French Toast". Thick cut...

If you're in the mood for seasonal Northwest dishes try the Hi-Life, which spotlights the in-house wood-fired grill and oven. With this menu program, we effectively open a new restaurant every three...

Scan the menu at this fun and funky American eatery, and you'll likely find your favorite region of the States soundly represented, from Southern-style Tasso ham and honey-stung fried chicken to Northwestern salmon cakes and Southwestern shrimp enchilada con queso. Indeed, 5 Spot is nothing if not dynamic, even changing its artwork and decor every so often to transport patrons to various...
