My wife took her laptop in to have it looked at. She was told that it probably wasn't a bad cord, that the chip set was shot and couldn't be replaced. That she would HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER COMPUTER. I brought my wife's laptop in because it wasn't charging. I checked the power cord prior and it had no power that, that I could tell.
