Multiple G.A.B.F. and W.B.C. award winning ales, lagers and experimental styles... An ever evolving small Brewery with a great range of traditional Anglo-Celtic Ales and more aggressive "West Coast" styles, Third Street is the real deal- since 1995... A casual environment with an eclectic but familiar comfort food driven menu and friendly staff make this a great local hang out and beer...
3rd Street Ale Works serves delicious brews and fresh cuisine with a family friendly atmosphere that will makes you feel right at home.
Although, IMO, RRB a block over has better beer, this place embarrasses them with their food. Don't take that the wrong way, the beer is good here too, but you can only take so many pizza bites :| before you want calamari, a nice big bratwurst, or some other REAL food on their menu. If you just want a beer, I say RRB, but if you want a nice time with beer and food, 3rd street ale works is above RRB by far. Again, they do have really good beer too :) and a couple pool tables upstairs, and better TV's for sports, and better outside eating areas, and a nice atmosphere ...etc etc etc..
I cant get enough of this place!!! They always have plenty of beers and casked versions as well. The food is amazing. You get the most bang for your buck on tuesday nights as the pints/pitchers are cheap and they offer giant bratwursts dirt cheap. Service is very friendly and knowledgeable of beers. I try to get my wife to take me to this place as much as possible. Completely reccomended for...
This is likely my 5ht or 6th visit to Santa Rosa, but sadly my first trip to Third Street Aleworks. Its easy to find, right on Third Street bordering the Court House Square. Its a short walk from either Flavor Bistro or Russian River. Better yet, it was a short walk from my hotel. Modern, almost bank look on the outside. Inside they do the best they can with the space. Medium sized bar area,...
Made a brief late-night stop here while visiting Santa Rosa/Sonoma/SFO.
There's the usual pubgrub/Santa Rosa style with pizza, nachos and the tempting garlic fries. We went with nachos and garlic fries, but there's a lot more to try. Seemingly spacious place, cool seating area arcing around with large windows. Fairly lengthy bar.
Sort of a loud, happening joint, in contrast to some more...
Went here after going to Russian River last weekend.
Much bigger than I was expecting with a great sitting area outside.
We went about noon and it wasn't crowded at all.
Porter was really good and the IPA was decent.
Really great atmosphere sitting outside, totally relaxing.
A great place for lunch or dinner. The location is nice and close to the rest of downtown Santa Rosa. I've been partial to their excellent burgers.
Their beer range is decent, and haven't been disappointed.
Third Street, like it's nearby neighbor (Russian River BC), is always busy. That said, the food and beer makes it worth it.
