BEWARE OF THIS SHOP OWNERS WIFE AND STAFF LIE.....
As a small woman owned business we rely heavily on our vehicles both daily trucks and backup trucks. Recently our backup truck went down and we had it towed to two brothers automotive. We were told the motor was blown and it would be over 4k to have it completely rebulit with a full 1year warranty. We decided to have it rebuilt because the owners father loved The truck is an 83 Dodge D350 with a 360 motor. This classic was purchased with 49k original miles from a local university. We decided to invest in the rebulid and use the truck only for covering another truck if it went down or for any busy times when a backup truck would help alleviate getting behind. The rebuild was done approximately 30 days ago and come with a full 100% warranty. The odometer is not working so from day 1 when my father used the truck he kept mileage records when used and currently have just under 750 miles.
The problem started after we agreed to have it rebuilt, we were told the rebuild would take 4-6 days to complete 1 day motor out, 1 day rebuild and 1 day re install and check. They allowed a few days for any unseen problems.
A week passes by and nothing heard. I called them direct and asked for an update and why nobody called me??? I was told they were short staffed and most parts were in and the other part they were waiting on would be in within a few days. I wasnt happy but things happen so i said ok no problem. Another week goes by and I called again to see when i could pickup the truck and was told the parts were not in they were waiting on a couple mounting bolts and they were good to go. Again now we are week there and im not happy so i called in and asked for a supervisor and a rude lady picks up the phone and says shes the owners wife the COO ( i believe coo or ceo) and i told her my frustrations she told me " we are short staffed and behind " I told her all i asked for was to be called and informed like they said they would do and didnt... She said " sir if you dont like how we do business come get your damn truck" I told her i was already three weeks into it and just wanted to get the truck done. Long story short we picked the truck up i believe 5-6 weeks after dropping it off with no apologies for lying to us.
HERE IS WHERE I GET REALLY P@!%!D OFF
I got a call that the truck was ready and went to pick it up. while i was standing there a gentleman started talking to me and said he rebuilt the motor and was amazed at how clean and solid the truck was. I told him thats why we rebuilt the motor instead of buying a new truck because it has alot of years left. he agreed. He then went on to apologize saying the reason it took so long is a truck on the rack having work done took much longer than they anticipated and they they made a mistake when it was done and put another truck on the rack for extensive repairs and thats why our truck took so long.
A few days ago while on the freeway the truck started making a grinding noise as we listened to it trying to get off the freeway immediately the pressure gauge dropped to 0 and a very loud grinding started going as we got pulled over. We checked the oil every time we fuel it up like all our trucks because we are a very busy company and the truck down mean no money. The truck oil checked out full and that was with a worker present while i was checking it talking to me. Today the lady on the phone said the truck had only 1 quart of oil in it when they pulled the oil pan and that it was our fault and they would not warrant it. She was very rude and when i asked her what her name was she said " my name is not important" She then asks me " what do you want us to do" I said warranty the damn motor you rebuilt approximately 1 mothh ago, AND SHE HUNG UP....
