This was the worst possible scenario. I had planned a casual birthday celebration for my husband and wanted a low key place with music for dinner. Review looked okay.

The food was mediocre, tasted more like a chain than fine dining, and was not French as open table indicated. It was also extremely expensive for the quality we got, and the decor/atmosphere was not fine dining either, cheap and loud.

Food is usually very good. I have eaten there 5 times this summer. Great seen outside waterfront after dinner. Outside food is TERRIBLE!

Although we are Newport residents, we had never been to this restaurant before. Our decision to go there was pretty much a last minute decision, mainly based on the menu posted on Open Table and the fact that the restaurant offered 1,000 reward points for a specific early dinner time, which was fine with us as we had not eaten much all day.
