Liars or Cheaters?: Get Ready To Get Ripped Off
Similar experience as many other people. Although Zoommania claims to have items in stock, after ordering they contact you to let you know the item isn't actually available unless you order an overpriced and unnecessary "kit". Apparently they don't know this is in violation of both Federal and Pennsylvania State consumer protection laws.
After I tried to order a 46" Sony HDTV, I was told by staff member "Nicole" that I had to order the kit or I wouldn't receive my order in a reasonable amount of time. I spoke with "Mike" the following day and he assured me someone would call me back. Nobody did. I called back again and asked to speak with a manager and was put in contact with "Nick". He actually hung up on me when I asked for an explanation of why they were advertising items they weren't willing to send and whether he knew what Zoommania does is against the law. After calling back immediately and being subjected to him claiming to not know who I was, I had the order canceled.
Save yourself the time, energy, and wasted emotions and order from somewhere else. At the very least call and confirm that these sleaze-artists actually have what you want in stock before you order online. Beyond that, let the buyer beware if you order from Zoommania and if you get to speak to "Nick", give him my regards.
