Heads and Shoulders above the Crowd
Sommelier Marc Sauter & Chef Jerry Weihbrecht make the dining experience almost magical. Chef Jerry's imaginative dishes and exquisite flavor offerings are top-notch, and I can't think of anyone who knows more about wine that Marc. They're the perfect team, and their restaurant is heads and shoulders above the crowd.

We ate here for the first time last night (yes, people from Norfolk do eat at the beach sometimes!). We had a party of eight, with a three year old, which can be a challenge. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was perfectly attentive and made appropriate suggestions and descriptions. Martinis and Cosmopolitans were skillfully prepared and served with flair. Everyone's food was perfect - well cooked, inventive, and tremendously flavorful. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food, especially considering how much we ate (and drank). We made a nice dent in the wine list and we will be back to try more.

Jerry is one of the most creative and definitely one of the nicests hosts in Tidewater. His clams d'asti could sustain you in style, while his blue crab mac and cheese and his edemame and corn succotash carry you over the top. If you make it through those the entrees are amazing! His lunchtime Kobe burger is by far the best burger in Hampton Roads and its omission from the contest was criminal ;( Enjoy his talented, sassy staff, great food, and wonderful wine list. Cheers!

The food was OK--but overpriced. The service "not so good". Waitstaff were very loud and slow. We wont be making a return trip.

Good venue for a small meeting -- near VB Convention Center
Recently attended a meeting here. The private dining room will accomodate about 20-25 people. The accoustics were good -- doors shut out restaurant chatter -- so speaker could be heard.
If you like belly-bulging huge portions, this is not the restaurant for you. Portions were small, but each bite from appetizers to dessert was heavenly . Seafood was the star...
