The word was that wandering wunderkind Giovanni Perticone had landed at San
Francisco's Zingari Ristorante, located in the Donatello Hotel. Given that
zingari is Italian for "gypsy," it seemed an appropriate spot for the

I live in Palo alto and very rarely go into city. Last Friday we were going to see Jersy boys so a friend of mine who lives in San Francisco recommended Zingari for dinner. My girlfriend and I were deeply disappointed with our dining experience at Zingari. On Thanksgiving we had a price fix dinner at One Market for 59. per each. For Christmas day Zingari charged 55. each. They are far from being in the same class as One Market. One of our appetizers was sent back twice for not being warm enough. They claimed they were real busy. Great restaurants don't use that excuse ... more
