A snazzy spot in lower Nob Hill, fairly close to UNM, Zinc captures the essence of a San Francisco neighborhood bistro with its high ceilings, hardwood floors, and white tablecloths and dark-wood straight-back café chairs. You can drop in to sample wine from the long list, nosh on tasty contemporary cooking, or listen to live music downstairs in the Blues Cellar. From the kitchen, consider the...

Cute place, great atmosphere and yummy yummy yummy food & wine.
The service was really slow, and I wasn't sure why, since it was not very busy the night we went?
But overall a good time & I will be back again.
Pros
+ great food, wine
Cons
- sloooow service on the night we were there
We live in Austin and travel everywhere. It is not often that by chance we find a restaurant that has all the right ingredients. The food was great, sliced tenderloin and the salmon. They had our favorite wine, Ferrari Carano Fume Blanc at only $26! Brian the waiter was attentive and informed. He suggested we try the Cellar after dinner. Easy listening jazz, "Midnight Creepers", great service...

I've had many restaurants in ABQ highly recommended to me by friends, only to be disappointed when I finally did dine there. Happily, Zinc was not one of these places. My wife and I chose to go there for our anniversary, and while not perfect, we certainly left feeling satisfied. We looked over the massive wine list and finally settled on an Argentine Malbec. Very nice. We ordered Duck Egg...
