I've eaten at most of the Zankous around town and this is hands down the best. I used to go to the Sunset & Normandie one for years, charmed by the parking "helpers," the expanded run-down strip mall location and the surly cashiers. It doesn't have to be that way, folks. I didn't know such a place existed! I've been eating the legendary Zankou for a looong time, can't get enough of it, but this place doesn't look like any other fast food joint. Maybe more like an Italian landmark, with a French twist. The food is still the best but the decor is the best I've seen for a fast food restaurant.
I usually get the Tri-Tip sandwich, which makes me salivate just thinking ...
