Good prices - "iffy" merchandise.

The store has great prices but I was not impressed with it as far as cleanliness or customer service is concerned. It's obvious that many of the donated items have been sitting in someones garage or basement for a long time collecting dust. It would be much nicer if the staff would at least clean or dust off the items before they put them on the shelves for sale. The is especially true of the electronics and some of the furniture. The clothing is super cheap but you have to keep an eye out for stains and holes and a worn appearance. The clothing is good for casual clothes for adults and kids but finding something good enough to wear to work is a challenge. The customer service is spotty at best. The girl behind the counter at the time of my visit was generally clueless and there was a big man sorting through a box who "greeted me" without looking up, and I wasn't sure if he worked there or was a customer. No one ever asks if they can help me find something despite the fact that the store is very poorly laid out and stuff is strewn around. Good prices on bicycles (when they have them) and large items like desks, file cabinets, etc. Definitely not a "highend" place but a good place to find a bargain or pick up casual/play clothes cheap. The do offer a public bathroom which I appreciate very much. I give them an extra star, just for the bathroom.

I'd been in contact with this 'organization,' for about a week about picking up a cabinet. They KNEW I was coming for it, I even went so far into detail as to ask what the dimensions of it were. Who would do that if they weren't going to buy it. I also asked multiple times for their hours of operations. My hubby and I drove from over 30 minutes OUTSIDE of SGF to go to the store to pick it up....

I tell people often that this is my favorite thrift store in Springfield. The $3 green bag deal is especially cool. Prices are great, sales are even better, and the staff is generally friendly and helpful. Thanks for everything you do!
