The saying at Wynkoop goes, "Park it here," because there's so much to do at the Wynkoop that when you can park it once and have a great time all evening there's no reason to leave. Wynkoop has fanstastic food, homemade beer, pool, darts and tabletop shuffleboard. There's a comedy club right downstairs, and you can even book a banquet for up to 200 people. So park it at the Wynkoop. Or get off the ... more

In 1988, the Wynkoop Brewing Company became Denver's first brewpub. It's still a favorite hangout, and not just because Mayor John Hickenlooper first started serving the public here. Besides pouring beers brewed on the premises, the Wynkoop cooks up everything from shepherd's pie to elk medallions to black-and-tan brownies. And after your meal, you can head upstairs for pool, downstairs for comedy ... more

A large dining room offers comfortable booths and several tables, easily pushed together to accommodate large groups. For a meal, go for the generous serving of seared-rare tuna or charbroiled elk medallions. To wash it all down, try one of Wynkoop speciality brews ... more

Owned by Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, Denver's first modern brewpub is still the city's best. Among its most interesting offerings are India pale ale, chili beer, and Scotch ale, but you really can't go wrong with any of the selections. An added attraction is a large upstairs pool hall, which generally attracts a more party-hearty crowd than the restaurant and bar.

Denver's biggest and best brewpub took on an even more esteemed significance in 2003 when owner John Hickenlooper took office as the mayor of Denver. Occupying a renovated warehouse across from Union Station and close to Coors Field, the Wynkoop is one of the country's model microbreweries, and even served as a catalyst for the rebirth of surrounding LoDo. The menu offers pub fare, sandwiches, soups ... more

The restaurant was extremely warm, the music was way to loud. The waitress didn't speak above a whisper, the fish and chips were very disappointing. Not worth the money. With all the other restaurants in the area you would be wise to try them instead.

Cons

- to warm in restaurant, way to loud.
