Love this place! Wish I had it when I was growing up in Portage. Gotta come early if you want a parking space though. Because of parking it's never over crowded.

Great across the lake view of Chicago!! Nice Sandy beach.Fishing pier all access. One mile paved walking trail.Very nice facility.

Visited the lakefront riverwalk mid afternoon. Beautiful scenery and plenty places to walk. Great place to have lunch on the beach or outside the welcome center.
