They do local seafood at a good price in downtown. The atmosphere is casual so families bring the kids, and the walls are covered with humorous signs.

Note: It is not literally on the parade route it is actually a block away in two directions.

Pros

+ Local seafood, great happy hour, and personable staff.

Cons

- Popular happy hour so sometimes a bar stool is not available

I've been eating at Wintzell's for all of my 52 years. Whenever I have out-of-town guests, I always bring them to Wintzell's to get "real" Mobile seafood! Best crab omelette anywhere and the stuffed shrimp are outstanding too! Downtown location is my favorite.

Excellent value! Great food in a pleasant environment. Can't beat the Oyster deal 12 for $ 3.00 - Gumbo soup is outstanding.
