This 1805 Federal-style captain's house contains five dining rooms; try for a table on the patio overlooking the center of town. The kitchen specializes in bistro-inspired seafood, mostly with American and Mediterranean preparations. Head to the cozy lounge upstairs for live music Thursday through Sunday night in July and August. It's filled with plush sofas and tables lit by flickering candles.
During the summer months, upstairs at Winslow's has live music, dancing, and fun Thursdays to Sundays at about 8:30 to 11pm. Nobody likes tourists traps and finding a great restaurant while on vacation can be a challenge. The Winslow Tavern is the type of restaurant I wish would be in my home town. We feel welcomed on each visit and the food is excellent. Try the gazpacho and mussels you'll be won : )
