I had the duck, and was very happy with how it tasted. The outside was crispy without being deep-fried, and the accompanying sauce went very well with the duck. The risotto alongside the duck was one of the best risotto dishes I've ever had in the states. I was very pleased with this meal and look forward to coming back!

We have been coming to Windansea for many years. The restaurant has never disappointed us before. We were just there with our daughter and her boy friend this evening. We used to be just wowed by the food and the service here, unfortunately not tonight. The server was very matter of fact, serviceable, but not special.

excellent intimate restaurant

Great cuisine, especially duck and veal. Varied menu because even the wood-fired pizza is also highly recommended. Good wine list and memorable desserts. Near waterfront, but don't go for the view...the food is the draw.

Windansea Restaurant is located on Evans Street across from Morehead City's commercial waterfront. The freshest of fish is always on the menu, along with other inventive dishes and hand-thrown wood oven pizzas.

Chef David Greenleaf stocks an excellent wine cellar, along with Mother Earth beers from our new Kinston microbrewery. They're delicious, organic and natural.
