ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
We have 3 boys (ages 5, 7 and 9). In the past 4-5 years, we've tried 2 of the so-called 'best' public schools in LA (Marina del Rey and Manhattan Beach). It was the same -- "Drill it in, draw it out. Give 'em lotsa homework. Get those test scores up. No time for music and art." No wonder so many kids hate school.
If you are looking into schools, do your kid a favor and check out Waldorf. I can't do justice to the curriculum in such a short space... but I can tell you this -- I have 3 boys who LOVE to go to school. And it's amazing what they are learning. If you're the type of parent who let's TV/video games 'babysit', Waldorf probably isn't right for you. But if you truly care... and don't buy the nonsense that public schools continue to sell, run don't walk to the nearest Waldorf Open House. Your kid is counting on you to get it right.
