While treatments are on hold, I've had the opportunity to spend some time volunteering at the West Michigan Cancer Center (downtown Kalamazoo). It's a big honor to get to serve folks who are there for treatment. I tour around with a cart serving coffee, crackers, etc. Chris' dad (Bob Elwell) used to do the same up until he passed a year ago. I love my doctor there!! She is the kindest lady I have met and with my cancer scares and pcos (huge cysts) she has been there the last 2 times to talk me thru it and let me know what to expect. Dr. Hoekstra is the best!!!!
