$3000.00 deposit never posted

I made a deposit to my account that never posted in 2004. As far as I'm concerned, the disrespect I was shown as a long time customer with a legitimate problem is a disgrace. I had proof of my deposit as I presented to the mgr. my deposit receipt. After the mgr.(K.S.) spending over an hour with the teller behind the teller's glass, the only thing that happened was she asked me to transfer money from my savings to stop the checks from bouncing. A quick fix for that issue. She filled out the papers and I signed for that. She showed me a paper with bank transactions stamped on it and said their was one transaction that she found questionable and would give me an answer in two weeks. Then, in a blink of an eye, she proceeded to tear up my deposit receipt, my proof of deposit, and told me I wouldn't be needing it anymore. I believe I literally went in shock, left the bank to await an answer in two weeks. Upon returning to the bank, she denied there was this stamped paper. It has been a nightmare of my life. A case was never opened and one should have been, but I guess her having to leave for vacation the next day was more important. Obviously, the bank made a mistake and she did not have the accounting experience or know how to find the error and dropped it. I now distrust this bank, now Wells Fargo, because if you do not honor a deposit receipt, why give them out? It is a consumers only proof of deposit. Thank you to those who have supported me by taking some sort of action. I knew these people at this branch for over twenty years and have no reason to lie about something like this. Just goes to show you the faith they have in their customers. Beware of this banks practices. Wells Fargo claims it is too late to do anything. It's never too late because the money is there. Do an audit!!
